SOLDSuperb example of steel Rolex GMT ref. 6542, manufactured in 1958. The present GMT Bakelite is preserved in wonderful original condition. The amazing black lacquer dial is featuring gilt printing and the lumes have aged in a charming ivory tone. Definitely an extraordinary and rare watch with a powerful charisma.
Launched in 1955, reference 6542 represents the very first GMT-Master: it was featuring no crown guards, a Bakelite bezel insert and a fourth hand, which allowed pilots to calculate a second time-zone.
