Patek Philippe

The 18k yellow gold sector dial chronograph ref. 130 retailed by Walser Wald

PRICE ON REQUEST

Amazing example of 18k yellow gold Patek Philippe ref. 130 manufactured in 1944.

First released in 1934, reference 130 represents the first serially produced Patek Philippe chronograph.

The growing demand from its clientele compelled Patek Philippe to introduce caliber 13-130, using the Valjoux chronograph cal.13.

The model was extremely successful and remained in production until 1964 and even thought it was manufactured for close to 30 years, the total production was very limited, about 1500 pieces only.

Extremely elegant and at the same time sporty, the present 130 stands out for its rarity and beautiful condition.

The wonderful two tone sector dial is featuring a telemeter scale along with Arabic hour markers placed only at the 6th and 12th o’clock position.
The Buenos Aires retailer name “Walser Wald” enhances the rarity and the importance of the whole timepiece.

The beautiful case features the unmistakable square chronograph buttons and still retains its full proportion with the hallmark clearly visible on the case side.

Moreover, the inside of the case back shows the “Poinçon de Maître” key 9, indicating the watch was made by the legendary Emile Vichet in Geneva.

Accompanied by the Patek Philippe Extract from the Archives, it definitely represents a spectacular example of timeless elegance.
