Very attractive 18k white gold Breguet Hora Mundi ref. 3700, sold in 2009.
Breguet was established in 1775 by Abraham Louis Breguet, widely considered the greatest watchmaker of all time: some of the most important and lasting inventions in watchmaking are attributed to A.L. Breguet, including the tourbillon, shock resistance and the use of hammers and gongs employed in nearly all minute repeating watches made since.
The present Breguet ref. 3700 “Hora Mundi” in white gold is a testament to its traditional craftsmanship.
The Silvered dial features a eye-catching sunken center disk engraved with a graticule lines with Meridians and Parallels, which is surrounded by a plain silver 12 hour ring dial with paired radial Roman numerals.
The revolving 24 hour ring for the second time zone features Arabic numerals. The outermost ring is bearing the names of 24 cities in the world: the world time is adjusted via the crown.
The date aperture is located at 6 o’clock position. The beautiful Breguet blued hands gives an elegant and vibrating touch of color to the whole timepiece.
